First job in Venezuela 2010! Corporate actor! (photo)

With a stroke of incredible luck, I landed my first job in Caracas since moving here a week and a half ago - a corporate acting gig!

An old friend of mine from university runs a small production company here and delves into the corporate as well as the artistic. He recently mounted what amounts to a "hip hop art festival," including grafitti, film, photography and theatre. There could be a very fruitful working relationship going forward!

The photo is of the three actresses with whom I shared the stage for our 15 minute performance stressing the importance of viewing consumers as actual human beings. I played the role of a visiting public relations manager from the US headquarters of the company in question. I put on a thick "gringo" accent and did indeed have them fooled!

All in all, the performance was a success!

That's so awesome! I have to see the final product! (I hope you wrote into your contract that you have the right to show it to your closest friends... standard clause really, for those in the biz.)
